Country Grove Veterinary Clinic is a busy and successful Veterinary Practice in Aldergrove. We are currently in search of an enthusiastic and energetic Veterinary Technician to join the team. If you have the following qualifications apply today!
Qualifications
- A current Registered Veterinary Technician License in good standing.
- Must be able to be registered through the BCVTA.
- English proficiency; excellent written and communication skills.
- Enjoy communicating and educating clientele, as client education is important.
- The desire to perform a multitude of veterinary technician tasks including blood draws, catheter placement, obtaining urine/stool samples, surgical preparation and assistance, surgical monitoring, performing full dental radiographs and dental prophylaxis, and MORE!
- Surgical experience is a plus as we regularly perform routine soft tissue surgery and dental cleanings.
- A learning mindset as it is never too late to learn new skills or to improve the ones you already have.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of organization.
- Our RVTs are entrusted with a lot of responsibility within the clinic; you will be able to utilize and further develop all your skills.
- Team oriented, being able to communicate well with colleagues.
Hours & Availability
- Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.
- There are no after hours, and no on-call emergency shifts as work/life balance is important for our staff at CGVC.
- Statutory Holidays – we are closed.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage compensation: $28-$31

Are you a super friendly and outgoing client service superstar in search of a position with a family-oriented group who takes teamwork to a whole new level? Do you love animals and have an interest in doing all you can to help them live long healthy lives? If so, this position may be for you!
We are looking for someone who has the ability to juggle multiple tasks, such as greeting clients, checking in patients, answering phones, booking appointments, keeping accurate medical notes, taking client orders, and working with clients on their payment needs.
Job duties include (but aren’t limited to):
- Reception Duties
- Client Care Services
- Directly working with and assisting the Doctor
- Providing hands-on care to patients
- Able to assist in taking radiographs
- Be capable of safely and effectively restraining the pets
- Work well under pressure, including emergency situations
- Be understanding of euthanasia situations and cases
- Working with pharmaceuticals and filling patient prescriptions
- Help maintain a clean and organized, professional hospital environment
- Prepping patients for surgery
Requirements:
- VOA certification.
- Minimum three-year veterinary hospital experience.
- Proficient with computers, including AviMark and Microsoft Office.
- Communication and phone skills.
- Reception experience an asset.
Pay
- $19.00 to $23.00/hr; Hourly wage is based on certification, experience and skills.
About Country Grove Veterinary Clinic:
We are a two Veterinarian, small animal clinic, located in Aldergrove B.C. Country Grove has been in practice for 25 plus years, and we are very modern and progressive practice. We are growing and looking for an experienced Certified Veterinary Office Assistant for a full-time position. At CGVC, you will be able to utilize and further develop all your skills as you will have the opportunity to see the cases and are free to ask questions.
