Country Grove Veterinary Clinic is a busy, privately owned small animal practice in Aldergrove. For more than 25 years, we’ve proudly served our community while fostering a workplace built on mentorship, teamwork, and work-life balance. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate RVT who is ready to make an impact while continuing to grow professionally.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician license in good standing.
- Eligible for registration through the BCVTA.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Passion for client education and building lasting client relationships.
- Comfortable performing a wide range of RVT duties, including blood draws, catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthesia monitoring, full-mouth dental radiographs, dental prophylaxis, and more.
- Surgical experience is an asset, as we regularly perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry.
- A positive attitude and commitment to lifelong learning.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with a supportive veterinary team.
Our RVTs are empowered to fully utilize their skills and play an integral role in patient care every day.
Hours & Availability
- Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays.
- No after-hours or on-call emergency shifts.
- Closed on statutory holidays because we believe work-life balance matters.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage: $26–$32 (based on education and experience)

Are you a super friendly and outgoing client service superstar in search of a position with a family-oriented group who takes teamwork to a whole new level? Do you love animals and have an interest in doing all you can to help them live long healthy lives? If so, this position may be for you!
We are looking for someone who has the ability to juggle multiple tasks, such as greeting clients, checking in patients, answering phones, booking appointments, keeping accurate medical notes, taking client orders, and working with clients on their payment needs.
Job duties include (but aren’t limited to):
- Reception Duties
- Client Care Services
- Directly working with and assisting the Doctor
- Providing hands-on care to patients
- Able to assist in taking radiographs
- Be capable of safely and effectively restraining the pets
- Work well under pressure, including emergency situations
- Be understanding of euthanasia situations and cases
- Working with pharmaceuticals and filling patient prescriptions
- Help maintain a clean and organized, professional hospital environment
- Prepping patients for surgery
Requirements:
- VOA certification.
- Minimum three-year veterinary hospital experience.
- Proficient with computers, including AviMark and Microsoft Office.
- Communication and phone skills.
- Reception experience an asset.
Pay
- $19.00 to $23.00/hr; Hourly wage is based on certification, experience and skills.
About Country Grove Veterinary Clinic:
We are a two Veterinarian, small animal clinic, located in Aldergrove B.C. Country Grove has been in practice for 25 plus years, and we are very modern and progressive practice. We are growing and looking for an experienced Certified Veterinary Office Assistant for a full-time position. At CGVC, you will be able to utilize and further develop all your skills as you will have the opportunity to see the cases and are free to ask questions.
At Country Grove, our goal is to educate our clients so they can be responsible, knowledgeable, and successful pet owners, enhancing the human-pet bond for families. We strive to provide progressive veterinary medicine to our community with compassionate, high quality pet care services, in a healing, comfortable environment. If you have long term goals of becoming an RVT, we also encourage continuing education and will provide hands-on learning, support and guidance to help you achieve that goal.
